Special Nook Features
How do I highlight, look up a word, or make a note?
Hold your index finger down on the word you'd like to look up/highlight/make a note about. The menu below will pop up. You can also click on "Find in a Book" to look up the word within the text your reading.
--->EXTRA TIP: Remember though that these notes will be viewable to the next person who reads the Nooks. Don't forget to delete them before you check your Nook back in!
How do I bookmark my page?
Tap the top left corner of the page you're reading. The bookmark should appear!
How do I know how much I've read? How do I skip to a different page?
Tap quickly anywhere on the page you're reading. A menu will rise up from the bottom of your Nook screen allowing you to jump to a different page, see how much you have left, etc.
How do I make my Nook read to me using the text-to-speech feature?
Unfortunately, you won't be able to turn on the text-to-speech feature from the student profile. However, if you want your Nook to read to you just ask Ms. Stevenson to turn it on for you next time you're in the library!
How do I charge my Nook?
We have chargers in the library, and we're happy to charge up your Nook while you're in class. Stop by and let us know what you think about reading on the Nook!
