It's been great that the recent release of Baz Luherman's Gatsby movies generate some popularity for F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel among O. Henry students. We're all impatient the movie here at the O. Henry Library, so here's Florence + the Machine's "Over the Love"--the newest release from Jay Z's Gatsby soundtrack--to tide us over. O. Henry readers got the opportunity to meet and chat with popular fantasy/science fiction author Laini Taylor! Taylor has written several books that have been quite popular in our library, including the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series.
O. Henry readers had been hard at work both finding sponsors and reading pages for the Book Spring Read-a-Thon. In the pictures below you can see O. Henry students getting to see their time and energy pay off as they had the opportunity to take a field trip to participating elementary schools and share their love of reading with deserving boys and girls! Great job, Mustangs!
